How would a Page of Mind work? One who serves Mind, or serves others Mind for themselves? Is it like “Penny for your thoughts” kind of thing? Do they have strong opinions? I’ve very confused. What powers would they even have? Give ideas? Telekinesis sounds like an obvious thing, but what else? Pages have shown to be able to make mind constructs Could they build armies from their imagination?And what would they have to do to unlock this power? Come to what terms? What’s their quest about?

I can’t really give you answers that specific because a Page of Mind could develop all sorts of powers in all sorts of circumstances depending on how their story plays out. I will say I consider Vikare Ratite a likely Page of Mind, if you want an example of the Classpect.

Which came first? Subjuggalators or the ICP?

L-like, in real life? Obviously the ICP. They predate Homestuck by a considerable margin–they started in 1989.

In the comic, they’re circumstantially simultaneous, probably.

Pretty neat that other people have been asking about blood too, cause that’s what I am (partially thanks to your analyses!). But what would you think about powers of a blood user of a passive class, particularly for classes like rogue or page?

I think of Knights as the passive class, with Pages as active.

On which note, I dunno? No reason passive classes couldn’t use something like red miles. One time i had karkat develop like, steven universe-like bubble powers with the force of his IMPENETRABLE LOVE for Dave in a fanfic. Bloodbending, bloodhound-like “find anyone” abilities, bondage-themed movement debuffs on the enemy, making sure the party has enough iron supplements…theres lots of stuff a blood player could do. sky’s the limit.

Do you have any feelings on Star vs The Forces of Evil?

I resent how drawn I am to watching clips of it on Youtube when I’m in a procrastinaty mindset. It’s really good and Star is a very good Maid of Light, I think I’m gonna say? She’s got a lot of overlap with Sailor Moon but their differences lend me to think of different Aspects for them and Usagi’s always struck me as more Hope/Heart, in contrast.

How did you gather any knowledge of Mages in homestuck? I mean there’s no one that godtiered and both mages didn’t really had big parts like others. Sollux, after the shit that happened in the game just went to the dream bubbles and never played a major role, we literally saw Meulin once and she was just a tumblr shipper (or was brainwashed) they have nothing in common either.

I’d suggest looking at the very long essays on Classpects I’ve already written for answers here. For starters, I don’t think going God Tier is necessary to play out the role implied by your class. From my perspective, not playing a “big role” is actually better for class purposes, too, since it means characters exist in the story and exert their impacts over it in more concentrated ways.

hello, my question came about from talking w/ random what ifs, and we had to wonder what exactly would be the impact of if in a group of players, most end up with the same class but different aspects? Like would that be a bad thing or still work out because of being in a different aspect?

Who knows? I’d guess it’d lead to an out of balance session in terms of personality and mindset but it’s not like canon tells us. I guess it’d depend on who’s telling the story, and what story they want to tell.

With all the nuance and little details in homestuck I don’t think anyone should run their own game or make their own fan-trolls/kids/race. It’s just too big to pull off.

That seems like an odd conclusion to come to, considering Homestuck is all about the validity and worthwhileness of all genuine artistic creation, even if it results in the creation of “bad” art (which many people would accuse Homestuck of being, anyway).

I think the more people are interested in/having fun with Homestuck’s sandbox, the better. It’s a very cool sandbox to play in.
