yes. my Patreon rewards involve access to the Discord and invites with which the patron can invite friends who aren’t patrons. the patrons + invitees both get to vote on what order I do videos in for Homestuck: Explained when we get to new “stages” in the series, too.
At this point most of my breakthroughs/new insights about Homestuck tend to stem from conversations I have there, I’ve grown pretty proud of the variety of opinions and perspectives we house.
Okay, so. I LOVE the Strilondes. I want to produce tons of content for them. I want to CONSUME tons of content for them. And so I sat down and I thought to myself, well, Loss, what can YOU do to encourage more Strilonde content in this post-canon hellscape we call 2017?
I decided on this:
Strilonde Fan Jams is a Discord server geared toward connecting fans of the Strilondes and their canon love interests. (This is defined on this server as Dave/Karkat, Dirk/Jake, Rose/Kanaya, Roxy/Callie, Davepeta/Jade, as well as content for the solo technically-Strilondes, AR, Arquius, Jasprose, Davesprite, Brain Ghost Dirk.)
It’s organized around a layered concept with prompts, challenges, themes and ideas at the top. Follow this up with rooms for people to bounce ideas off each other to flesh out ideas or maybe come up with new ones (or maybe find new beta readers, and so on), as well as rooms for people to live-write (or post art WIPs.) Then at the bottom, a general inspiration room for basically anything that evokes Those Strilonde Feels.
This place is geared primarily toward content creators, but fans are welcome to cheer people on – there is a contribution policy however, idlers will be pruned weekly. So if this sounds interesting, be ready to participate!
Note that this is NOT a general discussion server – moderation will be quite heavy to keep things on topic. The goal is to create and inspire content creation!
