How would a Page of Mind work? One who serves Mind, or serves others Mind for themselves? Is it like “Penny for your thoughts” kind of thing? Do they have strong opinions? I’ve very confused. What powers would they even have? Give ideas? Telekinesis sounds like an obvious thing, but what else? Pages have shown to be able to make mind constructs Could they build armies from their imagination? And what would they have to do to unlock this power? Come to what terms? What’s their quest about?

I can’t really give you answers that specific because a Page of Mind could develop all sorts of powers in all sorts of circumstances depending on how their story plays out. I will say I consider Vikare Ratite a likely Page of Mind, if you want an example of the Classpect.

This probably sounds silly but I wanted to ask you of what’s the difference between Derse and the Rage aspect? Both are ruled with doubt and skepticism. And if that’s the case, what makes a prospit rage dreamer?

Derse is pretty strongly linked to Rage, but it’s also got strong links to Void, Doom, and Blood. It’s a society, so in general it incorporates all the Aspects, even if it’s cultural conciousness might favor some more than others.

Gamzee was a Prospit rage dreamer, so we might look to him for clues.  Nihkee Moolah’s also Prospit+Rage, so she might give us more insight, too.

In general I’d expect a Prospit dreamer to tend towards being more passive, positive, and reactive to the world around them. They’ll think less about how they construct and present their personalities and be more inclined to go with the flow–though this depends on Class, too. Derse dreamers tend to be more methodical, intense, and self-directed by contrast.

… Thoughts on My Hero Academia/Bnha? The story’s amazing, the characters sublime, I’m sure you’ve heard that, but it would be cool to hear what you think if you were to ever get into it! I love your Utena analyses and your knowledge of magical girls anime! (It really opened my eyes on why Madoka wasn’t as enchanting as I had come to expect)

its good and dekus a cool page of doom (theres a lot of doom in this show in general its interesting), i should catch up sometime cause i left off on season 2

but im busy and the only anime that owns my heart this season is revue starlight, so maybe some other time

How did you gather any knowledge of Mages in homestuck? I mean there’s no one that godtiered and both mages didn’t really had big parts like others. Sollux, after the shit that happened in the game just went to the dream bubbles and never played a major role, we literally saw Meulin once and she was just a tumblr shipper (or was brainwashed) they have nothing in common either.

I’d suggest looking at the very long essays on Classpects I’ve already written for answers here. For starters, I don’t think going God Tier is necessary to play out the role implied by your class. From my perspective, not playing a “big role” is actually better for class purposes, too, since it means characters exist in the story and exert their impacts over it in more concentrated ways.

This includes the dancestors, who are in many ways pretty much Classpect silhouettes. Anyway, here:

With all the nuance and little details in homestuck I don’t think anyone should run their own game or make their own fan-trolls/kids/race. It’s just too big to pull off.

That seems like an odd conclusion to come to, considering Homestuck is all about the validity and worthwhileness of all genuine artistic creation, even if it results in the creation of “bad” art (which many people would accuse Homestuck of being, anyway).

I think the more people are interested in/having fun with Homestuck’s sandbox, the better. It’s a very cool sandbox to play in.

Hi question im looking for a theory and i thought since you are The Theory Dude maybe you know who wrote it? It’s about how all aspects are meant to symbolise different story things (light is plot relevance /void plot irrelevance etc) and your latest video made me think of it (with the life is good / evil bit) and i really want to read it again and Think About It

That sounds like Tex Talk’s youtube series!

He’s the one who first linked Rage to plot contrivance. That last video is an audio post where he discusses what EVERY aspect means metatextually and it’s really good, I think!
