omg its the anniversary of [S] Collide! the first in-comic Homestuck thing i ever worked on! (though i had been working on hiveswap for quite a while before it) heres some of my favorite scenes i got to draw and animate for it. i think all of them got used except for the lord english one which was my favorite but the karkat is a close second
i also got to do a lot of thumbnailing for stuff that would be drawn by other artists. they made my layouts look way better than the initial rough sketch dont you think?

WhatPumpkin was recently hit with layoffs, and it sounds like VIZ Media made the choice themselves.
Those I spoke to were very adamant about WhatPumpkin and Homestuck creator Andrew Hussie fighting for the employees that were let go. Many of the staff also sounded hopeful that their involvement with the project wouldn’t be severed forever, as pretty much everyone I spoke to said they hope fans support the Friendsims so VIZ is more inclined to hire people back.

I wanted to combine Homestuck and Hiveswap a little bit with this one. This panel sort of started the ball rolling and I was thinking about babysitter Roxy’s backstory and read a bunch of zodiac constellation myths on wikipedia and things got a little intense? So enjoy I guess.
It’s almost 3 am. I don’t have much to say for myself. I’ve sacrificed a lot of sleep for this thing so I figure I should post it.
I’m gunna go sleep now.

never forget that not only did dirk strider, upon being ordered to draw pornography of him and his friends, cheerfully agree before realizing caliborn would demand fairly tame imagery, he also expressed interest in reading callie’s fanfiction about them after confirming it was explicitly romantic, and upon being told that said fanfiction was deviant and possibly disgusting he literally said “but that only makes me want to read it more.” incredible. i love him. his palpable disappointment that caliborn didnt want him to draw himself and jake kissing followed immediately by him morosely dragging their scribbled renditions together for an illicit smooch regardless remains one of the most memorable moments in the entire billion word saga to me like he was ready. he was absolutely ready to send self drawn smut of him and jake to all his friends with the excuse of well an angry space alien made me do it, soooo
also never forget that roxy made the art of her and jake her goddamn phone background i love her
Act 6 is amazing and so is Homestuck? This is astounding, honestly. I love John Egbert
it suddenly occured to me that if the epilogue happens to include all the trolls getting revived, roxy will get the chance to meet dear sweet precious perfect DEAR fefeta again, as feferi and nepeta this time, and suddenly im about to cry
