A short retelling of the past few days, some of the best of my life honestly.

Thank you everyone who hung out with me this weekend. You changed my life. And I mean it.

I’m so happy to hear you had a blast! Rune is the best and a friend. I legit wouldn’t be here if not for you, thanks for being awesome! :33

esports is so powerful they will agree to use a sponsored player’s fursona in place of the actual player’s photo for promotional material

a lot of people are reblogging this and making fun of sonicfox but he’s one of the youngest most successful fighting game players alive like he’s earned over $300,000 through tournament winnings and he was instilling fear into adult competitors as early as 13 years old just by sitting next to them and pluggin his controller in like the kid’s a god

@friendshipwrecked

I can also say he’s one of the best people to ever commission me ever. Payed me extra, checked on me periodically not for art progress but because he saw I was going through some stuff and gave me tips on my FANG in SFV. Dude’s an angel and a friend

Call me when he makes top 3 in a real game lmfao

S C O R C H E D

I’d like you to know that Sonicfox is currently the number one ranked player in both Mortal Kombat X and Injustice: Gods Among Us, not to mention he is the second most ranked player in Skullgirls.

So yeah, HE’S MADE IT INTO THE TOP 3 ALRIGHT

The God of Videogames is a fucking furry and I’m SO DAMN PROUD.

I would also like to note that he looks like this

And before you ask, no. The hat was not a one time thing.

He wears it in pretty almost every match he plays. And to my memory, he has only took it off ONCE during a match.

His hat is the equivalent of to Jason Voorhees’s mask. Because you know you’re FUCKED when he takes it off

he’s also bi!

We live in an era defined by the Epic Streaming Show and Netflix. But is the Netflix hit Sense8 the precursor to an even stranger and more brilliant kind of hypermedia storytelling still to come?

Spoilers for Sense8; no prior knowledge of the series necessary (I hope).

Sorry for the lack of direct links; Tumblr now blacklists external links, so this is the only way I can ensure my work will be seen in searches.

So not only did reading this finally convince me to watch Sense8 but also it made me believe that there COULD be something like a Homestuck cartoon that plays with its format and medium in a lot of the ways the comic did, so, jot that down in the list of things I want now I guess

sam’s writing is so good

gosh but like we spent hundreds of years looking up at the stars and wondering “is there anybody out there” and hoping and guessing and imagining

because we as a species were so lonely and we wanted friends so bad, we wanted to meet other species and we wanted to talk to them and we wanted to learn from them and to stop being the only people in the universe

and we started realizing that things were maybe not going so good for us– we got scared that we were going to blow each other up, we got scared that we were going to break our planet permanently, we got scared that in a hundred years we were all going to be dead and gone and even if there were other people out there, we’d never get to meet them

and then

we built robots?

and we gave them names and we gave them brains made out of silicon and we pretended they were people and we told them hey you wanna go exploring, and of course they did, because we had made them in our own image

and maybe in a hundred years we won’t be around any more, maybe yeah the planet will be a mess and we’ll all be dead, and if other people come from the stars we won’t be around to meet them and say hi! how are you! we’re people, too! you’re not alone any more!, maybe we’ll be gone

but we built robots, who have beat-up hulls and metal brains, and who have names; and if the other people come and say, who were these people? what were they like?

the robots can say, when they made us, they called us discovery; they called us curiosity; they called us explorer; they called us spirit. they must have thought that was important.

and they told us to tell you hello.

So, I have to say something.

This is my favorite post on this website.

I’ve seen this post in screenshots before, and the first time I read it, I cried. Just sat there with tears running down my face.

Because this, right here, is the best of us, we humans. That we hope, and dream of the stars, and we don’t want to be alone. That this is the best of our technology, not Terminators and Skynet, but our friends, our companions, our legacy. Our message to the stars.

I’m flat out delighted, and maybe even a little honored, that I get to reblog this.
