why can’t inversion theory coexist with the roleplay theory and similar ideas? if it could, it would only give more character options and possibilities.

On a fandom level, I never said it couldn’t. I prefaced my answer (I was only answering a question about my personal views) by saying I’m not out to debunk anything or w.e, if people want to do fandom stuff they can and should do it however they like. It’s for fun, I’m not here to be a joykill.

On a canon level, I just don’t see any real evidence for it. There hasn’t been any inversion “switch” yet that doesnt parse better as roleplay.
