JohnRoxy is a good ship and this is a good post. Wlw don’t have to ship every fictional woman they like with other women exclusively to be ~valid~ don’t let this egregious hellsite fool you. Tumblr is so disconnected from the real world and fandom has completely abandoned the novel idea that you can like or dislike something without fucking moralizing it to hell and back and without being a total asshole to people whose opinions differ from yours. Not to mention the way bi/pan erasure is allowable and even encouraged and this pervasive and completely ridiculous idea that pairing a woman with a man somehow devalues her, disrespects her or otherwise makes a bi/pan woman less queer.
Fandom should be fun. Ship what you like. This year please consider aggressively blocking and blacklisting people who can’t conduct themselves with respect for other human beings and improve your fandom experience tremendously.

At the moment, I guess I’d say Caliborn by default, or maybe Gamzee. I’m not convinced anyone else’s character arc qualifies as tragic, outside of the guardians/ancestors who are tragic by design so I think counting them would be cheating.
Homestuck seems dire for a bunch of the cast right now, but Homestuck also isn’t over, and I’m more optimistic than not about the final fates of most of the cast. So for now I abstain my opinion on most of them, until we know more.

Casey qualifies, since John treats her like family and she ends up being Rose’s explicit familiar, sure.
But I was actually talking about WV! Jade and Vriska both refer to him as John’s chaffeur familiar during his adventure on the battlefield. Ctrl+f’ing for familiar should bring it up!
All The Witches we’ve seen have been associated with some powerful beast that granted them an equally powerful aspect related boon. Jade packed up their entire session thanks to Bec. Damara shaped the history of an entire planet thanks to Lord English. Feferi was able to set up stable dream bubbles thanks to Gl’bgolyb. I wondered how this would work out for other witches so here’s my brainstorm under a read more cause it gets long.
