Sollux thought that the game would kill him and his friends to save trollkind, which is why he didn’t distribute it. He was lied to, and once he found out the truth he tried to stop his friends from playing the game at all.

There’s also this, yeah. Even if he’d wanted to though, he definitely couldn’t have distributed the game on the scale Grandpa did.

duelist I just thought of something It`s that sollux is a idiot for not giving other trolls sgrub we know trolls that are not made by the game can still play and have classpects or maybe the pre scratch trolls that could be something that happen and what would your troll oc look like ( game and time)

I dunno that Sollux messed up, he just didn’t have a massive globe-spanning corporation to transmit the game to the planet/empire through like Grandpa did with Skaianet.

Yup!!! And I gotta say, thinking of Homestuck as a puzzle is pretty much the most fun I’ve had exploring the canon. Thanks for bringing me to the view, I haven’t gotten to say that often enough 🙂

Why are things never simple, or never as simple as they seem?

In general? Because life is complicated. There’s a lot to it. That’s why it’s life!

In Homestuck, I suspect because Hussie is trying to tell a story about the meaning of life and the nature of existence. And hes just that kind of writer, I guess.

Also, I think it’s more fun this way. But that’s just me.
